Homemade Chai Tea Blend

I used to love going out for chai tea until I realized how much sugar and caffeine I was getting. I decided to make my own chai blend and add raw honey and almond milk. Here is the blend I use. Put in a jar and add a teaspoon to a hot cup of water and enjoy! Pair with a nice gluten free gingersnap cookie for the holidays.

Chai Tea Ingredients

  • 1 T Cinnamon
  • ½ T Ginger
  • 2 t Coriander
  • 2 t Fennel Seed
  • 1 t Black Pepper
  • 1 t Nutmeg
  • ½ t Clove
  • ¼ t Cardamom

Instructions

  1. Grind any herbs to a powder as necessary in a coffee grinder. Mix and put in small jar for use.
  2. Use ½-1 tsp herb blend in 1 Cup water with sweetener of choice. Add nut milk to taste.

Note: The ground spices will sink to the bottom of your cup so you may want to stir it with a spoon while drinking.
